Meet Jason, the creative vision behind Shutter Savant. A proud army veteran and former nurse, Jason brings discipline, attention to detail, and a unique perspective to every project. Currently completing his last semester at Colorado State University with a B.A. in Journalism and Media Communications and a minor in Anthropology, he combines storytelling expertise with a deep appreciation for culture and nature.

Based in Troy, Montana, Jason specializes in capturing life’s most cherished moments through photography and videography. His work includes weddings, special events, and promotional videos for local businesses and conservation organizations throughout NW Montana and the surrounding area.

When he’s not behind the camera, you’ll find him exploring the rugged beauty of the Yaak Valley—hiking, camping, and practicing bushcraft. His love for the outdoors and commitment to storytelling define his approach, blending authentic imagery with a passion for adventure.
